At Trevly specifically: Because our calculators require no account or login, we have no need to store anything personal. The cookies we do use are limited to keeping the site functional and understanding broad usage patterns—nothing more.

Every cookie on Trevly exists to serve a specific, identifiable purpose. We do not use cookies to build individual profiles, sell data to advertisers, or track users across the web. The site is free and has no need to monetize your data to sustain itself.

Essential cookies fire the moment you land on any page. They ensure the consent banner you've already acknowledged stays dismissed, protect form submissions from automated bots, and let Cloudflare identify your session for performance routing.

Analytics cookies activate only after you consent. Once active, Google Analytics records anonymized signals: the page visited, approximate geographic region (country-level only), device type, and session duration. No names, emails, or precise locations are captured.

Nothing is sold or shared for commercial purposes. Analytics data is used internally—to see which calculator features are underused, which pages load slowly, and where the site could be clearer or faster.

Two third-party services place cookies on Trevly pages. Both are industry-standard infrastructure services used by millions of websites. Their cookies are governed by their own privacy policies, which are linked below.

Google Analytics sets cookies that track aggregated user behaviour within our site. The data flows to Google's servers and is accessible to Trevly through the Analytics dashboard. We have enabled IP anonymization so your precise location is never stored.

Cloudflare sets a security cookie (typically named __cf_bz or __cfruid) to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated bots. This is a performance and security measure with no tracking function beyond the current session.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, retargeting tools, or any third-party service that tracks behaviour across websites. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated and a notice will be posted on the site before the change takes effect.

You are in control. There are four practical ways to manage cookies on Trevly, ranging from adjusting a single preference to blocking all non-essential cookies site-wide.

Consent tool: When you first visit, a banner gives you the option to accept or decline optional analytics cookies. Your choice is stored and respected on every future visit. You can revisit this choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies and reloading the page.

Browser settings: Every major browser lets you block, delete, or restrict cookies at the domain level. Instructions for each are in the section below. Note that blocking essential cookies may cause some pages to behave unexpectedly—the calculators are JavaScript-based and do not depend on cookies for their core calculations, so the tools themselves will still work.

Google Analytics opt-out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Analytics tracking across all websites you visit, not just Trevly.

Private browsing: Incognito or private mode prevents cookies from persisting between sessions. Every visit starts fresh with no history of previous choices.
