Our Story
Trevly started from a frustration most students know well: grades are out, the semester is almost over, and you still have no idea where you actually stand or what you need to do about it.
Existing tools were either too generic to be useful, buried behind paywalls, or required you to create an account just to run a basic GPA calculation. None of them answered the real question—"what do I actually need to do right now?"
So we built tools that do. Every calculator on Trevly exists because a student, somewhere, asked a specific question that deserved a precise answer. Not a vague estimate. Not a motivational nudge. A number they can act on.
What started as a small project to fill that gap has grown into a full suite of eight academic calculators used by tens of thousands of students and educators every month—and we're just getting started.

What We Build
Every tool in the Trevly suite answers a specific academic question—not a general one. That's a deliberate choice. A calculator that tries to do everything usually does nothing well.
The GPA Calculator handles weighted credit hours, plus/minus grades, and CGPA-to-percentage conversion across multiple scale types. The Grade Calculator works backwards from your target to tell you exactly what you need on the final. The Attendance Calculator tells you how many classes you can still miss before crossing your school's threshold.
Each tool was designed with the same principle: if a student has to think hard about how to use it, we haven't finished building it. Inputs are clear, results are immediate, and the answer is always a number you can do something with.

Free tools, honest answers, no games
Trevly will never charge for access to these calculators. No "premium" tier that gates the features you actually need. No account wall before you can run a calculation. No dark patterns asking you to subscribe for results you've already earned.
On accuracy: Every formula is validated against published grading standards. If a result ever looks wrong, we want to know—email us at contact@trevly.xyz and we'll verify and fix it fast.
On privacy: All calculations run in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Nothing is stored. Your grades belong to you.
On advertising: We keep the lights on through ethical, non-intrusive ads. They never influence tool design or results.
If you have an idea for a calculator we haven't built yet, or a scenario the current tools don't handle well—tell us. Most of what's on Trevly today came from exactly that kind of feedback.

Answer the real question
Students don't come here to explore. They come with a specific question under deadline pressure. Every tool is built to answer that question directly—not to upsell, educate unnecessarily, or require interpretation.
No barriers, ever
No account creation. No email required. No features gated behind a subscription. If a calculation helps students, it should be reachable in two clicks—not hidden behind a form that harvests their data.
Accuracy over speed
A wrong answer that arrives instantly is worse than no answer. Every formula on Trevly is verified, plus/minus grades are handled correctly, weighted averages account for credit hours, and edge cases are tested before anything goes live.
